The Irene Rodeo Association was formed the year after the Centennial in 1993.
​
Irene Rodeo Association hosts an annual SDRA sanctioned rodeo the last Friday and Saturday of June each year. Events include Youth Mini Bulls and Broncs, Broncs, Barrels, Team Penning, Team Roping, Bulls, Calf Roping, and Mutton Bustin’ for ages 5-8! Mutton Bustin’ riders are randomly selected from those that sign up the night of rodeo.

Irene Rodeo Association is involved in the community through Christmas caroling, serving funerals/weddings, assisting other organizations, hosting fundraisers for causes and enjoy being able to give back to the community.

Irene-Wakonda After Prom committee servers concessions at the rodeo and other school organizations assist with grounds clean up during our event.
